Howard "Gene" Campbell
Howard "Gene" Campbell, age 74 of North Canton, chose to leave peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 25, 2010 surrounded at home by his family. Gene was born May 31, 1935 in Meadville, PA, the son of the late R. Earl and Ruth (Hoskins) Campbell. He was a graduate of Linesville High School where he served as senior class president and Youngstown State University where he earned his BBA. He proudly served his country as an army paratrooper. He was a retired auto dealer and auctioneer. Gene served as elder at Andover Christian Church for 36 years and Trustee at Cincinnati Bible University and Seminary for over 20 years.
Gene is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Sandra (Koski); sons, Brad (Dena), Tim and Todd (Marnita Loose); grandchildren, Kyla, Kara, Austin, Noah and Mikayla Campbell, and Maranda and Layton Smith; sister, Genny (Gary) Linsted; seven nieces and nephews and ten great-nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Esther Campbell.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be conducted Sunday, March 7, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. followed by food and fellowship at Andover Christian Church, Stillman Avenue, Andover, Ohio. Gene's family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Andover Christian Church, Stillman Avenue, PO Box 1268, Andover, Ohio 44003 or Aultman Hospice of Canton, 2821 Woodlawn NW, Canton, Ohio 44708.
