Donald H. "Skip" Mugrage Donald H. "Skip" Mugrage, age 69, passed quietly into Heaven on July 25, 2010 to be greeted by loved ones who had passed before him, including his parents, Charles "Wink" and Josephine "Josie" Mugrage and very recently his best buddy and brother, David "Butch" Mugrage. Skip loved building model railroads in his basement, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He never met someone who didn't immediately call him their friend.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Nancy; ever grateful daughter, Debbie Whitehair and light of his life, grandson, Adam Jin Whitehair; sister, Joyce "Sis" Dawson and her husband Glenn Dawson; sister-in-law, Linda Mugrage; numerous nieces and nephews and special family members from the Marietta area, including June and Travis Ours, who had become like a second set of parents to him with the loss of his own. Missing him desperately will be his best girl, his cocker spaniel, Taffy. She was a true comfort to him right up to the end. A special thanks to all those friends from Mary Ann Donuts, especially Ed. Being there at 10:00 a.m. every morning kept him getting up and going out for many days when he might have given up the fight. Also a special thank you to all his friends at B & K Restaurant that he became so close with and had so much fun with. The Aultman Hospice Team has been so wonderful to Skip and the whole family, especially Kathy and Dorothy. Not only were they extremely knowledgable and answered our every question, but also for their kind hearts. We thank God for placing people like this on this earth to surround us when we're hurting. Also a special thank you to Dr. Chow for your prayers and Dr. Vemulapali for her knowledge.
Skip's wishes were to be cremated with his ashes scattered into the Muskingum River he loved to fish in so much. There will be no local services, however, memorial contributions may be made to either the Aultman Hospice Group or the American Cancer Society in his name. Condolences and special memories may be shared online at www.heritagecremation.com.
