J.E. "Papa J " Phillips
J.E. Phillips born April 7, 1931 in Huntsville, AL passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on July 8, 2010.
J.E. went to be with his wife, LaVerne of 56 years. He retired from Babcock & Wilcox in 1991. He is survived by his daughters, Julia Cash, Karen Greenlee and Lori (John) Thoenen; son, Jeffery (Laurel) Phillips; grandchildren, Matt (Brandy) Cash, Jeremy Greenlee, Jason Greenlee, Joel (April) Thoenen, Mindy Thoenen, Brandi Thoenen and Alec Phillips; great grandchildren, Austin Greenlee, Logan Pine and Skyler Pine.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 19, 2010 from 4 to 6 p.m. with services immediately following at Akron Springfield Assembly of God, 1551 Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44312 with Pastor Cal Schlabach officiating.
